Where does the money go?

Customers pay your connected wallet directly. Merkato checks payment references and tracks the result. It doesn’t hold your money or ask for a customer’s wallet PIN.

Which payment methods can I use?

You can connect Telebirr and CBE Birr wallets. Telebirr receipt verification is available. CBE Birr’s payment instructions are available, but automatic receipt verification isn’t supported yet.

Do I need to write code?

No. Create and share payment links from your dashboard. If you’re building an app, use an API key to create checkouts and signed webhooks to receive payment updates.
